H1Z1: Just Survive
Release Date: 3rd of 4th Quarter of 2016
An MMO survival zombie game which stemmed from the original H1Z1 (which got too big), 'Just Survive' is set in a zombie apocalyptic period within rural America. The second H1Z1 game is King of the Hill which will feature no undead creatures so Just Survive is the choice for those looking for their zombie survival fix with H1Z1. Like most survival games the focus of Just Survive is on scavenging enough resources to get through each night whilst avoiding the pitfalls of wolves and bear attacks and of course all those flesh hungry zombies lurking around. Daybreak Game Company wants players to have to work together in order to survive each day as opposed to going it alone making this a rewarding team working zombie survival game. Crafting tools and weapons as well as building bases will keep you preoccupied for much of the game apart from forming alliances and hiding from zombies. The full game is scheduled for release in either the 3rd or 4th Quarter of 2016.
Potential Release Date: 2016
The Walking Dead graphic adventure series from Telltale Games has proven that you don't need over the top action for a compelling title teeming with the undead. Those who have faithfully followed the games from Season One through to Season Two know that decisions have been made to shape the lives of each and every survivor. Clementine in particular, Lee's surrogate daughter in the original and the young protagonist of the sequel, has been shaped by these decisions. Has she already been hardened by all the horrible tragedies or has she managed to retain a sliver of childhood? If the ending of Season Two is any indication, she has a grueling road ahead of her and Season Three is going to just as harsh as the previous iterations in the series.

Set just a few months after the events of the first Dead Island games, this main story sequel (hence the 2 in the title, unlike the 3 other spinoffs before it), delves straight into the next chapter of the sci-fi zombie survival action game. While little is known of the details behind this installment, there are a few major plot points that have been revealed: the first one is the fact that the game is no longer set in an island but is now going to be in a quarantined California. The second key factor in the game is that unlike other zombie-infested cities, the world of Dead Island 2 is also populated by living people in the infested city who consider their current situation as something akin to a second chance.
Potential Release Date: 2017 or later
Since the original game came out, the Silent Hill series has been at the forefront of the survival horror genre. Be it the feeling of isolation, its myriad of hellish creatures or the eerie soundtrack that haunts you well after you've turned the console off, the franchise is effective at delivering just the right amount of horror to keep you up at night. If you've been thoroughly terrified with its past iterations, then just think of the amount of paranoia Silent Hills would induce if it comes out. Right now the game has been officially cancelled but there are rumours about the internet that say it has merely been put on hold whilst Konami mull over it's expense compared to the likely returns.
